Description: This presentation will look at different possibilities that creative writing offers and how these methods can be beneficial in the language classroom.  Creative writing techniques can help students of any disciplines to overcome the obstacle of getting started with their individual writing process one way of facing e.g. the fear of the white / blank page. Besides looking at various methods and their outcomes, the focus of this presentation will be on sharing experiences gained within the text lab at Vorarlberg University of Sciences (Austria) and the feedback of the involved students.
